So I missed a few days. Whoops! I will break it down real quick. I can't remember Tuesday or Wednesday, but I can tell you about Thursday. HAHA
Yesterday I got up, did Zumba for 25 minutes, I went to have cereal and realized I had no milk. So, I skipped breakfast and for lunch had a tuna/lite mayo sandwich with Colby jack cheese, tomato, lettuce on a sandwich thin. I had an orange with it. It was a pretty yummy lunch. I had a pretty lazy afternoon, didn't get much done. Last night was the midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. Tabitha, Chris, Cam, and I went to see it, together. Beforehand, Cam and I went to Outback. I thought, easy peasy, I will get a grilled chicken salad. They didn't really have one that I could eat without feeling crazy. So, I ordered the grilled chicken Swiss sandwich with a house salad instead of fries. I would calculate the points when I got home. It was delicious. We went to the movie and I had a couple handfuls of popcorn and, dun dun dun, got a Dr Pepper, so I could stay awake. I won't do that again. It was nasty and sugary and syrupy. yuck! Lesson learned! The movie was awesome! I got home and looked up the nutritional info for what I ate. OH EM GEE! 20 points for my sandwich and 9 points for my salad! Thank GOODNESS I didn't have the fries! I started tearing up feeling like a total fool. But I got over it. It's a lesson learned. Decide where I am eating before I leave the house, so I can research menu's and calculate points.
Today, I have eaten one time. I had a quesadilla that Tab made me, with a bunch of broccoli. the whole meal was 6 points and was so good! Cam and I took the kids swimming at the gym, and now, I have to find something light to eat for dinner, since it's so late.

Day Three
I was going to wait to put this out there, but you all are my confidants and I think I can share with you. I have been doing Weight Watchers. I started June 7 and since then have lost 10.2 pounds. I have steadily been losing an average of 1.5 pounds per week. Today I weighed in and had gained .2 pounds. I'll be honest, I was devastated. I know it isn't even a half pound, but I see it as a gain, even if it was a small one. I know that it is likely that all the working out I did this week contributed to that. I know the old saying, "Muscle weighs more than fat." It is still a tough pill to swallow when you are wanting to see the scale say otherwise. The ladies at the meeting, and Tabitha were amazing. I love them all! After the meeting, Tab and I went to the gym and I did 3 miles on the treadmill in 53 minutes and burned 360 calories.
On that note, all I can do, from here, is go forward. More to come, from "Going for it!"

Wow!
Another great day of my journey!
Last night, I went to the drive in and was there until about 1am. I got home around 1:20. I was asleep by 2 and got back up at 7:45 am! I was exhausted! Did I let that stop me? heck no! I got up, got the kids ready for VBS, got dressed, and walked 2.15 miles to work. It was a beautiful morning and I really loved it. I then worked all day at the daycare.
I had a bowl of Fiber One cereal for breakfast. I made the kids scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese in them with crescent rolls. Tabitha made us a chicken salad with lite ranch dressing.(I seriously could NOT do this without her)
After I got off work at 4:30, I headed home, changed, and went to the gym. I spent 45 minutes on the elliptical. I burned 562 calories and went 3 miles. A good friend told me awhile back that the sign of a good work out is if you burn at least 500 calories. I am feeling so strong and empowered each day that I see the scale telling me I lost weight.
I am now going to have grilled pork chops, steamed potatoes, and steamed asparagus, for dinner!

Day One
I have never been able to fully commit to working out or going to the gym .Why should now be any different? I don't know! For some reason, however, this time, it is! Wanna know why? I BELIEVE I CAN. I KNOW I CAN. I WANT TO. There you have it. That is the most important factor. I WANT it. I do not NEED it, I do not REQUIRE it. I WANT it.
Today I got up at 9:00. I immediately did a ZUMBA workout. It wasn't big. I did 25 minutes. I then went to the gym a few hours later around noon. I decided to try the elliptical, again. I had tried the elliptical several times in the past and after 3 or 4 minutes, gave up and quit, because it was too hard. Today at 5 minutes, I seriously considered giving up. I forced my way through it, and went for 35 minutes and did 2.25 miles! I feel like I have reached an amazing victory!! More to come from "Going for it!"
